Kamena Gora

Kamena Gora is at the distance of 20 km from Prijepolje, about 320 km from Belgrade, it is a wavy plateau at the altitude of 1200 m.  The highest peak is Crni Vrh (1492m). Many people consider Kamena Gora the most beautiful village in the municipality of Prijepolje, because it represents a true nature reserve. The village is famous for its beautifully preserved nature, especially for complexes of coniferous and deciduous forests, potable springs and clean air.  In almost every village there are preserved old wooden cabins, which, as many decades ago are still in use. Kamena Gora (Rocky Mountain) is named after limestone and rock-forest and their interchanging. It is famous for its symbol - 400 years old pine tree "Svetibor" (the Holy pine tree). In the early dawn, the most miraculous experience of birth of the Sun is certainly below the pine canopy of centuries old tree.

Kamena Gora has a mild climate  and provides a warm atmosphere. The villagers warmly welcome visitors to their homes and offer their traditional dishes, their knowledge and skills, the joy of living. This attractive tourist destination also offers a comfortable forest cabin, which is owned by the company Srbijasume. The village restaurant, Ruza ( Rose) serves local delicacies.
