Cultural Sights

Prijepolje is a town of long history that testifies to the connection and mixing of cultures of various civilizations. Meeting the Roman, Christian and Islamic culture and civilization as well as sustainability of the monuments speak of respect for ancient cultures and historical wealth. Mileseva region represents the territory characterized in rich and diverse cultural and historical heritage that can be continuously traced from the first Roman settlement, the oldest Serbian state of Raska, arrival of the Turks and Austro-Hungarians, and the liberation wars. Importance of the town is deeply permeated with the fact that all cultural and historical monuments from different epochs survive and witness to the life of people in this region.
